Program Manager

Sudbury Developmental Services (SDS) is seeking a full-time Program Manager to join our team.
 

The Program Manager is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-directed supports and services. This includes leading teams, fostering inclusive organizational culture, ensuring compliance with legislation (QAM, SIPDDA, AODA, OHSA, PHIPA/FIPPA, Human Rights Code), and strengthening partnerships within the community.
 

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership in service planning, delivery, and evaluation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through coaching, mentoring, and  performance management.
- Oversee program budgets, individual financial accounts, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and agency policies.
- Build and maintain relationships with families, stakeholders, and community partners.
 

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field (Developmental Services, Social Work, Psychology).
- Minimum 3 years progressive leadership in social/developmental services and 5 years field experience.
- Knowledge of MCCSS QAM, SIPDDA, AODA, OHSA, Human Rights Code, PHIPA/FIPPA.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with succession planning, workforce development, and change management.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

HR Systems & Operations Assistant

Full-Time • One-Year Contract

As an HR Systems & Operations Assistant, you will play a key role in strengthening the systems, processes, and supports that help our team deliver high‑quality services across the organization. This position offers work–life balance, continuous learning, and opportunities for professional growth while allowing you to deepen your understanding of the developmental services sector and the diverse needs of the people we support. Responsibilities: 

  • Support HR technology initiatives,   including system rollout, testing, configuration, and    process digitization. 
  •  Maintain and update HRIS, payroll, recruitment, and learning systems, including data entry, workflows, templates, and reporting. 
  •  Assist with recruitment operations such as job postings, interview coordination, candidate communication, and applicant tracking system maintenance. 
  • Contribute to recruitment technology improvements, employer branding, and digital awareness efforts. 
  • Provide day-to-day HR operational support across the employee lifecycle, including   onboarding, offboarding, and position changes. 
  •  Prepare and maintain HR documentation, forms, policies, and internal process guides. 
  •  Support data reporting and metrics by generating HR and recruitment dashboards, reports, and tracking materials. 
  •  Participate in strategic HR and technology-enabled projects, supporting planning, coordination,  and implementation.


Education & Credentials

  • Completion of a college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field; specialization in Human Resources is preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a human resources, payroll, recruitment, or technology-focused administrative  role.
  • Experience supporting HR processes such as  recruitment, onboarding, job postings, employee records management, or HR  system administration.
  • Exposure to HRIS, payroll, or applicant tracking  systems; experience supporting system implementations or enhancements is  an asset.
  • Previous experience working in a unionized  environment is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience in the non-for-profit, public sector,   or developmental services environment is considered an asset.

Competencies

  • Comfortable working with technology and learning  new systems, tools, and digital processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications  (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort using online platforms and databases.
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn,   applicable employment legislation and collective agreement requirements in  Ontario.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills,  with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing   deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to change and support continuous  improvement initiatives, particularly related to HR technology and process enhancements.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
