As a registered charity and nonprofit organization, SDS relies on the support of individuals, families, volunteers, community partners, and members who share our commitment to creating inclusive communities where adults with developmental disabilities can thrive, build meaninful relationships, and live lives that are true to them.

By becoming a member, you join a community of people who believe in inclusion, belonging, choice, and opportunity for all.

Why Become a Member?

Membership is a meaningful way to support the mission and work of SDS. Your membership helps strenghten our organization and contributes to opportunities that enhance the lives of the people we support.

As a member, you can:

• Stay informed about SDS news, initiatives, and opportunities.
• Learn about volunteer, advocacy, and community engagement activities.
• Share feedback and help shape the future of our organization.
• Support programs, services, and special opportunities for individuals receiving services.
• Demonstrate your commitment to inclusion and belonging within our community.

Membership Fees

Annual membeship fees are:

• $10 Individual Membership
• $15 Family Membership

Funds raised through memberships and donations help enhance programs, services, activities, and opportunities for the individuals we support.

Membership Classes

In accordance with our bylaws, SDS has two classes of membership:

Class A Members

Class A Members are elected Directors of the Corporation. They are entitled to receive notice of, attend, and vote at meetings of the Members.

Class B Members

Class B Members are individuals who support the purposes and mission of SDS and have been accepted for membership.  Class B Members contribute to the strength of our organization through their support, engagement, and advocacy.  Class B Members do not receive notice of, attend, or vote at meetings of the Members.
